Captain Jay Plastic is a Florida native who has been fishing the waters from Tarpon Springs to Boca Grande for the past 20 years.

Born and raised in Clearwater, he started fishing the local fresh water lakes for bass at a young age.  He would ride is bicycle from pond to pond, fishing some of the best kept secret ponds in Clearwater.  He spent most summers at Clearwater Beach fishing, running a local bait store and keeping a few offshore captains stocked with plenty of pinfish and grunts. 

Snook was the main attraction to Jay and he spent countless hours wading and fishing the bridges at night.  In fact, he would sometimes go straight to work in the morning from fishing all night. Even from a young age, fishing was his passion.
