“September”

I recently decided to switch gears from redfish to snook. During the end of August and the early part of September, the redfishing was excellent. Some big schools of reds showed up and we were catching good numbers of oversized fish. I recently was out with my good friend Fast Eddie and he caught this monster 42” red. Great catch.

Back to the snook. We have had a few good low tides which has put all the snook in potholes and outside edges of flats. Over the past two weeks, we have caught over 90 snook with 15 being keepers in the 29-31” range. Had a chance to take a break from working and went fishing with my dad. We stayed in one spot and caught 32 snook, 2 redfish, 8 trout, and 3 sharks. What a great day of fishing.
